In Memory
Larry Kohring in 1981
On March 9, 1981, a dear friend, coach, and faculty member of Lake High School passed away.
Larry Kohring, 35, collapsed in the high school hall at approximately 6:30pm and died within minutes after collapsing.
Mr. Kohring came to Lake as athletic director in 1977. He taught mathematics for two years until he was assigned additional duties as transportation supervisor of all five Lake Local Schools. He also was the girls’ track coach at the high school for the last three years.
The student body held a memorial service on March 13, to honor the man that was taken from us.
The 1981 Alumni of Lake High School would like to dedicate this web page in memory of Mr. Larry Kohring, Kirk Almroth, Virginia Pecina, Jackie Workman, Traci McOwen and those who have passed on adding so much to our lives.
